The JSON interface and spreadsheet files
Everything on this site is also available as a programming interface: fund facts, holdings, events, notices and search, each with its as-of date and a link to the original document at the regulator.
The full description of every call, in the OpenAPI format, is at /api/openapi.json: the server address, the terms, the licence, and a short name, a summary and a group for every call. Programs can read a manifest of these calls at /api/mcp; assistants connect through the assistant server and can start from the plain-text guide at /llms.txt. Public data needs no key: 100 requests a day per address, counted in the X-RateLimit-Limit and X-RateLimit-Remaining headers of every answer; a key from your alerts page ("More options") raises the daily limit.

Spreadsheet files
Lists can be downloaded as spreadsheet files (CSV) without a key: all closed-end funds, fund announcements of the last 90 days, and each fund's history from its own page.
Feeds for news readers
The same lists as Atom feeds, without a key: all fund announcements, all recent activity (notices from large investors and fund announcements together), dates to know, one fund at /fund/{TICKER}/feed.xml (for example /fund/JOF/feed.xml) and one investor at /activist/{slug}/feed.xml (for example /activist/saba/feed.xml). Each entry has the plain-words sentence, the filed date, a link to our page and a link to the original document. More about the feeds.
Terms
This is information, not advice; every answer says so in a notice field and in a Link header that points at the terms. The data is free to reuse under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence; credit it as "CEF Radar (cefradar.com), data from public filings at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission". Our sentences may not be redistributed in bulk. The developer interface terms have the details and the daily limits.
